UV
rollercoat (book) varnish
This varnish contains a high level of silicone
in its formula to aid the slip of sheets
in high speed conversion processes, for example
magazine cover binding and so does not lend
itself to gluing. Examples are paperback
covers, labels and brochures.

Our UV glueable varnish is a general purpose,
high gloss varnish suitable for most applications

Matt
UV varnish
Matt rollercoat UV varnish is applied all
over the printed sheet, giving a high quality
matt finish incorporating print protection
with good scuff resistance properties, which
can be used to great effect on magazine covers,
brochures, greetings cards etc.
The matt surface
can be overprinted with UV gloss screen
varnish to give excellent
contrast between matt and gloss.
Matt rollercoat
varnishes not suitable for foil blocking
or gluing – if this is
a requirement we suggest our Matt screen
UV varnish that can be applied leaving
the glue flaps free.
As with all UV varnishes
- the final appearance will be highly
dependant on the substrates
smoothness and absorbency.

Silver latex "scratch
off" varnish
Rub removable inks have been specially designed
as opaque inks which can be printed over
printed tickets or promotional cards and
are readily removable using a coin or fingernail
to display a pre-printed message underneath.
Rub
removable inks are normally printed over
offset prints, which must be fully dried.
The substrate must also be fully opaque
to prevent 'show through' from the reverse.
Absorbent
substrates are unsuitable, as the removability
of the ink may be impaired.
To aid removability,
prints should ideally be sealed with a
coat of oil based lottery release varnish.
(This must also be
allowed
time to
fully dry prior to applying the rub
removable ink.)
