Often called drip-off varnish, reticulating varnish plays with matt and gloss qualities to give an effective finish with texture and movement. To create this look, a two-varnish combination of matt and gloss is applied to the printed sheet in a single pass through our coater. The result? A matt texture is maintained where it’s needed and the rest of the sheet is left with a gloss finish – resulting in an economic choice where a matt/gloss combination is desired.
To beautifully show off the contrasts, our reticulating UV varnish is better suited to darker colour schemes. But it doesn’t just look pretty. A drip-off treated surface is actually more resistant to scratches and wear and tear.
