To congratulate those within the publishing industry, the PPA hold an annual event – The PPA Awards – where members of the industry come together to hear who has been voted the best in their field in a variety of categories.

The awards this year were held at Grosvenor House on June 30^th, celebrating world-class talent in the UK’s professional publishing community.

As with previous years, Celloglas were asked to produce the invitation to the event. Mirri H Purple was the selected material, which is a high shine, premium metallic product. Before printing, the white reverse was primed for HP Indigo. The event details on the reverse were digitally printed and the text on the Mirri side was applied with a white foil. When this was done, the tickets were laminated with Anti-Scuff Matt Lamination.

Steve Middleton, Sales Director at Celloglas commented, ‘We love producing the tickets for the PPA and thinking of new finishes to use to communicate the tone of the event. This year’s design shines in its simplicity. The addition of the anti-scuff matt lamination offers a great texture that you want to touch, and the anti-scuff allows you do so without leaving any marks behind on the Mirri.’

Callum Stott, Events Manager at the PPA commented, ‘The tickets Celloglas have produced for us in the past have been brilliant, and we love this year’s offering too. The practicality of the anti-scuff is great but also offers a lovely finish and the white foil creates an excellent contrast against the purple background.’

This year’s event was hosted by Fearne Cotton who presented awards to such as Front Cover of the Year, Consumer Magazine of the Year and Editor of the Year and many more.
