MIRRI: Launch many of its new faces

Significant investment into this area of the business, now brings with it new definition, such as bespoke holographic printing, and new sheet capabilities, such as Point of Sale usage, developments once again testament to Celloglas' commitment to supporting clients, by redefining the boundaries for print.

Bespoke Holographic – This development is bound to excite printers who strive for perfection, as Celloglas now has the ability to run a perfect holographic repeat print, time and time again, in the exact same print area. Perfect for publishers, packaging printers, and indeed any client looking to really maximise the impact of Mirri, with total precision, as this level of accuracy will not be found elsewhere in the UK.

New Sheet Size – The capabilities of this new machine now makes Mirri accessible to large format printing clients, something not traditionally conceivable, so offers a whole new palette of opportunities for clients in this marketplace to explore new decorative techniques that will really ensure their design stands out from the crowd.
Sizes of 1250mm x 1850mm, up to 2000mm are now achievable.
Speed – This new technology also dramatically reduces lead times on the production of Mirri, with capacity having increased dramatically, making Mirri as a medium, more accessible generally.

Andy Kirby, Operations Manager of Mirri at Celloglas said: We are all really excited by this development as it means Mirri is now on the agenda for more printers and designers, who might never have previously considered it as an option. Mirri is visually an extremely powerful finish, and we are proud to have made the investment that now makes this more accessible to all...Mirri is no longer reserved for the top end jobs, (although it still has its place there) but can now also be used in many new ways, shapes and forms, to bring an alternative dimension to a huge range of print jobs”.

New range of Mirri effects – Celloglas has also extended the range of Mirri finishes, adding Pillars of Light, Neon, Sparks, Blast and Magma, to their classic collection including Rainbow and Hazy Days.

The range is now also laminated to a high quality White Back Folding Box Board, as well as a high quality SBS, providing solutions for high quality packaging and graphic applications where outstanding visual impact is required in combination with a printable white reverse.

Typical applications include print for Perfumery & Cosmetics; Spirits & Champagne; DVD Cases & Software; Point of Sale..

Celloglas also run a range called Mirripak Ultra, which is a cost effective route into using Mirri as a finish. Mirri Pak Ultra uses Mirri Laser, a laminate of metalised polyester film to a solid bleached sulphate board. The baseboard used is not as smooth as the baseboard used for the Mirri H Range and therefore the finish is not as mirror like but the brightly finished Laser board also carries a print receptive primer, which makes it ideal for packaging, display and creative print applications.

Celloglas are keen to illustrate the many new faces of Mirri and will be holding Open Days throughout the next month, to illustrate to clients the new capabilities of Mirri at Celloglas – To register your interest, please call Andy Kirby on 0118 930 3656 or email andy.kirby@celloglas.co.uk.

Information packs are also available from the sales team on 0118 930 3656. Mirri is available through all 15 manufacturing sites.
