has been established for over 50 years, and
are
the largest print finishers in the UK.
With history comes experience, but Celloglas
is not a company to stand still, and as
an industry innovator is committed to supporting
clients
in the ever-changing business climate.
Developing new products and
services, to lead from the front, Celloglas
is run with dynamic directors at the forefront of the business,
committed to creative print finishing solutions.
Servicing
printers across the UK, you may have known
the company under previous brand names,
i.e Five Star; Zodiac; UVCO; Duraseal;
Universal
Coatings; or Lustretex, but all have now been brought under the
one banner, so for customer ease you simply need to know Celloglas.
Working
very closely with printers, we have positioned
our sites nationwide, to support them with
over 14 business unites, equipped
with over 30 laminating,
9 UV Rollercoaters and 21 UV screen machines running night
and day.
Our team of over 300 employees ensure
that our customers get the best possible
service as we set out to not only meet,
but surpass
our customers' requirements
for service, reliability and innovation.
Typically, each business
unit, which is between 10,000 and 20,000
sq ft in size, serves a local area of around
40 miles
radius
from each factory.
Most units are equipped with 2-3 Billhofer laminating machines,
Steinemann Rollercoat UV machines and Sakurai screen spot
UV machines and, dependent
on their particular market demands, cutting and creasing,
folding, embossing and foil blocking facilities are added.
What
We Do
Celloglas provides lamination, varnishing
and other decorative print finishing
services to printers, and customers direct,
throughout the UK.
Our coatings and laminating is carried
on greetings cards, book covers, point
of sale items, sales brochures,
prospectuses,
magazines,
in
fact anywhere that the printed word is seen, our
coatings and laminating will
be doing their job adding longevity and keeping print
in pristine condition.
Recent interesting projects
include providing large format mirriboard
for a Harry Potter bus ad; Creating
a Bespoke
Cover for Guinness
Book of Records,
and the Launch of Sky HD with 2 million laminated
and spot uv varnished sheets- all on budget and
on deadline.

Our Story
The company was founded in 1950
In the 1960’s
we introduced OPP (oriented polypropylene)
film in a market dominated by cellulose
acetate.
In the 1970’s we introduced
rollercoat varnishing with UV (ultra violet)
curing as a method of applying varnishes
to printed sheets.
In the 1980’s
we introduced matt OPP films into the
market along with further paper coating developments
for rollercoat varnishes and in
the 1990’s we introduced
2 distinctive methods of selective "spot" varnishing
into the market.
So far, in the
new Millennium we have pioneered
a new range
of films
to offer
our customers
a less obvious
and subtler
print
finish and
have just
recently launched an environmentally
friendly laminate, Cellogreen and a germ fighting
laminate, Cellomed being the first in
the industry to bring
such print solutions to clients.
We
also have several other new launches coming
soon, so watch
